The Context
Cook Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) is a not-for-profit pediatric hospital located in Fort Worth, Texas. Not only are there highly-functional clinical spaces, but also kid-friendly waiting rooms, play areas, and outdoor landscaped gardens that demonstrate the commitment to improving the health of every child in the region.
There was a code-compliant challenge for the U.S.'s largest freestanding pediatric medical centers to meet patient room requirements.
The Solution
In collaboration with Smith Seckman Reid Engineering firm, Comfort Designs has provided a pediatric tub with low entry to make bathing easier for the child, a low overflow hole so the tub doesn't need to be fully filled, and a cantilever so caregivers can comfortably sit on it.
