The Context
Allegro Harrington Park is an assisted living community that provides high-end senior care services - from independent living and assisted living to memory care. Responding to feedback from potential residents, Allegro Senior Living wanted to build a shower that felt home-like and not institutional. Active seniors were hesitant to embrace fold-down shower seats due to their perception that they were for “old people” and those with limited mobility.

The Solution
Together, we worked with them to create a custom FHA-compliant 50” x 38” shower with a built-in molded seat. As a multifunctional feature, the molded seat could also be used as a soap and shampoo shelf.
